To be honest, when I first heard about Twitter and the concept of Microblogging, it didn’t impress me. What you can do with 140 characters, was my first thought. Well as it turns out now, you can do a lot with 140 chars. So, once I heard about all the buzz Twitter was making I jumped the bandwagon just to check out what all the fuss was about.
And then there is this new buzz of making money with Twitter. Use Twitter and make money, well sounds cool. But there was only one problem. No one was really sure on how to make money with Twitter and many were skeptical about whether you can really make money on Twitter. There was hardly any good guide available and all I had to learn was all by myself. In the process I ended up doing many right and wrong things and even lost a lot of time on Twitter without any success. So, one day I decided to put an end to all this and start concentrating on my other online businesses. But before that I gave myself two weeks on put a last effort on Twitter. I spent the first three days of the two week just thinking why I was failing and where was I going wrong. I analyzed all my actions and the outcomes. I did a great deal of research on things like how to find relevant twitter members, how get someone to follow you, how to connect with a fellow Twitter user and all the stuffs that mattered. And the fourth day I had an action plan ready to follow.
Well truth be told, I didn’t make any money in two weeks, not even in the first month. Then why didn’t I stick to my decision and dump Twitter? Well, because I started to see some really good improvements that was so difficult before. I was getting more and more followers every day following my action plan, I was able to make some good friends, I discovered new tools that helped me save a lot of time and effort. This overall and sudden improvement made me decide in favor of giving Twitter a bit more time and I made my first dollar on Twitter two months later.
The first dollar inspired me so much that I started to spend more time on Twitter and started devising out new plans. Slowly I had built a good network of followers and a working strategy that was helping me making some decent money with Twitter. Every time a new Twitter money making opportunity came out I went ahead and checked it out. Many of them worked for me and many didn’t. But overall after a few months I was there making nice money with Twitter.
Many of my friends who knew about my Twitter endeavor started promoting their business and I helped them getting started with it. In the process I realized how easy it was to get drifted from your goal if you didn’t know or do things properly. There are no magic to become successful on Twitter and certainly no secret strategy. It’s about doing things right. So one fine day, I decided to come up with a guide that helped anyone (even an absolute starter who has never been on Twitter) to get started with making money on Twitter. And basically that’s’ the story behind this book.
But before you begin let me point out that there are no shortcuts or secrets. You still need to do all the hard work to be successful. It takes some time before you can see your first Twitter dollar. But never lose patience, just keep working smart and you will be there counting your Twitter dollars with a big grin on your face.
Good luck!
